As of 2008-09, Dhunseri Tea & Industries Ltd. (DTIL)
was engaged only in tea production and then it split into other segments. Tea
is one of the oldest businesses in the Dhunseri group and has been a flag
bearer for the last five decades.
DTIL broadened its reach from eight assets in 2003-04 to
ten estates in Assam in 2012-13. As a result, the company is now one of the ten
largest tea producers in India. The company's tea packaging and blending units
are located at the Dhunseri Tea Estate (Assam) and Jaipur (Rajasthan).

tea companies, which have already carved out a niche in the overseas tea
plantation business.
